New series
Introducing: At the Yellow Café with Sympodium
At the Yellow Café is out new, regular conversation series that brings together senior fellows, researchers, and practitioners from our global network to talk candidly about Strategic Communications. No formal presentations. No carefully scripted talking points. Just genuine, wide-ranging and thought-provoking conversations.
Why this, why now?
Strategic Communications is a field that moves fast, cuts across disciplines, and rarely gets the kind of honest, exploratory treatment it deserves. The practitioner and the researcher are often working with the same problems but talking past each other. At the Yellow Cafe serves to close that gap and bring our network closer to these engaging discussions. We're aiming to create space for the conversations that happen at the edges of conferences, over coffee, between sessions — the ones where the real thinking happens.
What to expect
Each session will bring together voices from across disciplines and geographies — policy, practice, academia, and the spaces in between. Expect a mix of perspectives, a willingness to sit with uncomfortable questions, and no tidy conclusions.
